To confirm our multi-national strategy, we strengthen our presence in China by opening a Maintenance and Services Centre in Beijing.

This Maintenance and Services Centre is dedicated to the support of Thales systems sold in China. The proximity will facilitate the communication and understanding related to all maintenance issues.

For our maintenance and services centre, we are looking for a talented and dynamic Engineer in electronics with knowledge of radar and navigation systems.

The position is based in Beijing, but it also includes trainings in France and installation/maintenance/repairs travels in mainland China.

 

Technical Support Engineer-频谱

 

Main responsibilities

- Discussing, collecting, synthesizing information between Mother Company and Chinese Customers,

- Understanding support problems for being able to report and carry out the representative maintenance job allocated by Mother Company,

- Applying the maintenance policy prescribed by Mother Company

 

Precise tasks

1. Interface between local customer support and Mother company (recording the technical queries or claims, gathering all relevant detail in order to be able to solve these queries or claims, answering to technical queries or claims which are under his field of competency implying execution of minor repairs, transferring to the Mother company Call Centre the queries or claims which are beyond his competency).

2. Site surveys (if requested by Chinese customers or Mother company)

3. Handling of items under repair in coordination with the person in charge of logistics

4. Commercial tasks (lobbying Chinese Customers for having a spare part stock, educate client about maintenance culture)

5. Monthly reporting (Issue a comprehensive activity report)

 

Educational background

 

As an interface between Mother Company and all Chinese Customers for these systems, he shall have the following skills:

• Graduate from electronic university, preferably telecommunication and RF related fields

• Ideally trained and skilled on Control Monitoring Spectrums systems

• Strong problem solving skill in technical aspects with logical thinking

• Familiar with Windows NT4.0 and XP, basic software capability

• Familiar with computer hardware, installation, drivers, fault detection and parts replacement

• Good experience in management of projects

 

Personal characteristics

• Write and speak fluently in English and Chinese Mandarin

• Self-motivated and open personality, willing to learn

• Able to work independently, in isolated, remote area

• Respectful of Chinese regulation and laws,

• Respectful of Group rules.
